The 120-Point Inspection: What We Check Before Any Truck Is Listed

June 5, 2026 6 min read

Every truck earns its price the hard way. Here’s exactly what our crew inspects — and why it’s the foundation of the ROAD+ guarantee.

Before a truck gets a price tag at RoadRig24, it goes through a full 120-point inspection. Nothing is listed until it passes. Here’s what that actually means.

Powertrain

  • Engine: compression, leaks, blow-by, ECM fault scan, oil analysis.
  • Transmission & clutch: shift quality, fluid condition, clutch life.
  • Differentials, driveline, and u-joints.

Chassis & safety

  • Frame, crossmembers, and fifth wheel for cracks or bad repairs.
  • Brakes: drums/discs, pads, air system, slack adjusters.
  • Suspension, airbags, and steering components.
  • Tires: tread depth and DOT age on all positions.

Documented in writing

Every finding is logged to a per-unit report that ships with your paperwork. If something needed work, you’ll see it. If a component is near end of life, you’ll see that too. That honesty is what lets us back every eligible truck with a 30-day money-back guarantee under ROAD+.
